الفلق

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ ١

Qul aʿūdhu birabbi l-falaqi

Say [Prophet], ‘I seek refuge with the Lord of daybreak

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ٢

Min sharri mā khalaqa

Against the harm in what He has created,

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ٣

Wamin sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqaba

The harm in the night when darkness gathers,

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَـٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ ٤

Wamin sharri l-nafāthāti fī l-ʿuqadi

The harm in witches when they blow on knots,

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ٥

Wamin sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasada

The harm in the envier when he envies.’
