إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ ١
Innā anzalnāhu fī laylati l-qadri
We sent it down on the Night of Glory.
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ ٢
Wamā adrāka mā laylatu l-qadri
What will explain to you what that Night of Glory is?
لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ ٣
Laylatu l-qadri khayrun min alfi shahrin
The Night of Glory is better than a thousand months;
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ ٤
Tanazzalu l-malāikatu wal-rūḥu fīhā bi-idh'ni rabbihim min kulli amrin
On that night the angels and the Spirit descend again and again with their Lord’s permission on every task;
سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ ٥
Salāmun hiya ḥattā maṭlaʿi l-fajri
[there is] peace that night until the break of dawn.
